WOW,
This came as a shock to me, although I have not been watching BeyondTV at all. I have been waiting for SageTV Studio (their SDK bascially) for the last six months. Currently there isn't a release date on Sage Studio, though I am willing to bet this will help it along quite nicely!
Nice work SnapStream!

SnapStream - SUBSCRIBER EDITION ("SE")

I just bought the Diamond XtremeTV PVR 550, which comes with Beyond TV "Subscriber Edition." I thought some might be interested, since there's no info about the "SE" version anywhere. I had to email SnapStream to find out - the card comes w/ a 60-day trial for their EPG, after which you can subscribe for $4.99/mo or $29.99/yr, or buy a lifetime subscription for $59.99, which uncoincidentially is exactly how much it is for the non-SE version. So all you Linux fans looking at this new SDK - they do have motives ($) for releasing a Linux version. It's still a great product, and a ton cheaper than TiVo, but this is something new that they don't seem to like to talk about.
As for the card, I got it for $60 AR at buy.com - and it has a hardware encoder & a full-version of Beyond Media. The recordings look great, and for only $10 more than the Beyond Media software alone, it was a great deal. I just have to decide whether to pay for their EPG, or try to hook it up to XMLTV.
